Lorena Pino joins Holton Clinic as interpreter

Community HealthCare System wants all patients to feel welcome and at ease -- including those who are not fluent in English. That's why the Holton Clinic offers interpreter services for Spanish-speaking patients Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Lorena Pino has joined the clinic to serve as an in-person interpreter as needed. She will also assist Spanish-speaking mothers when they deliver babies at the CHCS Birth Center at Onaga Community Hospital.

Pino was born and raised in Mexico and came to the U.S. when she was 18. She became a CNA and realized that she had a passion for healthcare. She then became certified as a Restorative and Medication Aide.

"In the small time I've been working as an interpreter at Holton Clinic, it has reignited the passion I have for helping others. The camaraderie between colleagues and how every patient is treated as family has made me feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be," Pino said.
