Beth Fairbanks, Activities Director for St. Marys Manor, has been awarded as the BEE (Be Excellent Every Day) Employee of the Year. This is the inaugural year for Community HealthCare System (CHCS) to present this award to an extraordinary CHCS associate. Fairbanks was presented the award at the CHCS Annua Employee Banquet held, Wednesday, May 15.
Fairbanks was nominated by Shannon Heim, Director of Senior Services for CHCS. She stated Fairbanks had just taken on the role as Activities Director after previously working as a CNA at the Manor and implemented many fun activities not only for residents but also for staff.
“Beth is the kind of person everyone wants for a teammate. She is kind, thoughtful, caring, outgoing and so much fun,” Heim said.
“We are excited to honor Beth as our first BEE Employee of Year awardee,” said CHCS Chief Executive Officer John Fitzthum. “Beth has done a great job in her new role and gotten the community more involved with the residents at the Manor. I am proud CHCS has an award Recognizing associates for deeds above and beyond their normal job duties,” Fitzthum said.
“She exemplifies our CHCS core values and delivers that WOW moment daily to our residents, families and staff,” Heim said. “Even if Beth is having a bad day, you would never know it as she always has a smile on her face and makes our residents feel loved and cared for.”
CHCS selects a BEE Award winner monthly if nominations are received. Those chosen as a BEE Employee of the month are eligible to receive the Employee of the Year Award which is chosen based on a rubric scoring process.
