Primary Function

  • Enter and validate charges for Emergency Room, IV administration all outpatient medicine, and all recurring medical.
  • Process release of information (ROI) for legal and HEDIS requests, by logging the request into the ROI queue, complying with the state and federal policies/procedures and rules and regulations, printing/copying the information, and sending the information to the requesting company within a timely manner.
  • Provide Peer Review documentation to administration as requested.
  • Supports and abides by the mission, values, and policies of CHCS in all activities.
  • On-going compliance with CHCS educational requirements.
  • All other duties as required.

    Secondary Functions

  • Pick up records daily from nursing station/clinic area along with original census and copy of ER log.
  • Audit documentation for encounters to ensure the record is complete and accurate.
  • Scan appropriate documents for all encounters within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Check scanning performed by other staff members to ensure it is in the appropriate place prior to destruction.
  • Notify Providers of missing/incomplete documentation.
  • Complete and submit necessary documentation for newborns to the Office of Vital Statistics.
